"Grater" was criticized at the Chinese Open! Is Jikrypton 009 the pioneer of luxury pure electric MPV?

In 2022, in addition to the increasing expansion of the new energy vehicle market, the "marginal" series of MPVs will also usher in a great year. There have been more than ten new mid- to high-end MPV models on the market, which were not seen in previous years, and even more unimaginable. No, a new car has appeared in the field of pure electric MPV - Ji Krypton 009.

In the previous trailer, the front face of Ji Krypton 009 has a visual sense of Rolls-Royce, especially the China Open is simply a replica of the Parthenon. In the past week, Jikrypton officials have successively exposed two sets of official pictures of Jikrypton 009, and we have finally seen its true face.

On the front face, we can see the split headlight design that is very popular nowadays. The shape of the two vertical daytime running lights on the top can be said to be an evolved version of the family-style design. The bottom is the matrix LED main headlight set, with bright black trim, which is almost hidden when not turned on. It is embedded in such a square front. There seems to be no sense of inconsistency.

However, in addition to the above details, everyone seems to be focusing on the large-area chrome-plated grille that resembles a "grater" on the front of the Jikrypton 009. No joke, for a cool guy who doesn’t like chrome plating, it’s really a bit “irritating”. But it is undeniable that the entire front of the car is full of visual impact.

While everyone was still talking about this "grater" and even wanted to see if it could be "cleared", the information declared by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology bought Ji Krypton 009 a little "face". Obviously, the grille of the same color as the body in the application picture is more harmonious, but the light-colored body is not as domineering as the blue in the official picture.

Let's take a look at the side part. The whole thing looks like a square box of an MPV, with relatively simple body lines. Although the car was born on SEA's vast architecture, the front part of the car is still relatively long. At the same time, there is no more chrome decoration on the side, and the AD pillars are all hidden, creating the effect of a suspended roof.

Visually, the double A-pillar design is more obvious from the roof. It also adopts a double sunroof design. The large area in the back is probably a panoramic canopy, which should not be opened and can only improve the sense of sunshine in the car.

The rear of the car also looks like a traditional MPV, equipped with a large tailgate, and the iconic through-type taillights occupy most of the rear of the car. Except for the chrome strips under the bumper, there doesn't seem to be much that stands out.

According to the declaration information, the length, width and height of Jikrypton 009 are 5020*2024*1856 (1867) mm respectively, the wheelbase is 3205mm, and the curb weight reaches 2820kg. This data is undoubtedly a real big car, and the official positions it as a medium to large MPV.

As for the interior, according to pictures circulating on the Internet, apart from a few large screens, the overall design of the new car's interior tends to be simple. It adopts a 2+2+2 seat layout. If nothing unexpected happens, the middle row seats will also provide extremely rich aviation seats.

As for the power part, the current application information shows that it is a dual-motor model, equipped with drive motors with an output power of 200kW at the front and rear. The comprehensive output power of the system will reach 544 horsepower and the maximum torque is 786 N·m. Officials claim that its NEDC cruising range can exceed 700km.

Among the new MPV products, Lantu Dreamer and Denza D9 are undoubtedly the most direct competitors of Jikrypton 009. Moreover, in addition to pure electric drive, Lantu Dreamer also has extended-range hybrid models to choose from, providing consumers with a richer choice, and the advantages are obvious. But from the perspective of design, brand reputation and audience group, Jikrypton is still good. The rest depends on whether the pricing is sincere enough.
