Tank 400 will be sold in Russia, equipped with 2.0T+9AT power
New car fans learned from foreign media that the domestically produced hardcore SUV Tank 400 will go on sale in Russia in the first quarter of 2025 .
Recently, Great Wall Motors held a press conference in Russia. Representatives from the local office shared the results of the company and its brands (Haval, Tank, Wey, Ora and GWM Pickup) and announced plans for the Tank 400 to be launched in Russia.
The appearance of the Tank 400 is very cool. It looks like a smaller version of the Tank 700. The body adopts a mecha design style with tough lines and clear outlines. The front face adopts a double horizontal spoke grille and sharp headlights, which are highly visually impactful and highly recognizable. The rear of the car is equipped with an external spare tire and unique taillights, and the tailgate opens sideways.
In terms of dimensions: Tank 400 is 4985 mm long, 1960 mm wide, and 1905 mm high. The wheelbase is 2850 mm. Ground clearance is 224mm. The car is between tanks 300 and 500.
The interior design of the Tank 400 is fashionable and elegant. The central control screen is 16.2 inches in size and supports voice recognition. The LCD instrument is 12.3 inches in size. It is also equipped with a HUD head-up display and streaming rearview mirror. Other configurations include double-layer laminated soundproof glass for the front and rear rows, wireless charging for two smartphones, heated and ventilated seats, heated steering wheel, ANC active noise reduction, 10 speakers, automatic three-temperature zone air conditioning, adaptive cruise control, and active braking and lane keeping systems, etc. All these features will probably come to the Russian version.
The interior space in the car is relatively spacious, with a trunk volume of 566L, which can reach more than 1,800 liters with the folding second-row seats .
It is reported that the Russian version of the Tank 400 will be equipped with a 2.0T engine with an output of 245 horsepower (380 Nm), matched with a 9AT gearbox , and equipped with front, rear and central differential locks. In China, the Tank 400 is equipped with the off-road super hybrid architecture Hi4-T. It remains to be seen whether this hybrid version will be launched in Russia.
The price of the Russian version of the Tank 400 is unknown. It is expected to be between the Tank 300 (starting at 4.249 million rubles) and the Tank 500 (starting at 6.349 million rubles), which is about 5 million rubles (approximately RMB 367,000 at the current exchange rate).
If the tank 400 fuel version is launched in Russia, there will be basically no corresponding competitors and it may seize part of the tank 500 market. The Tank 400 fuel version adopts a non-load-bearing body, has a high ground clearance, a powerful four-wheel drive system and three differential locks. It can adapt well to Russian road conditions and is expected to win the recognition of some Russian consumers. , after all, the Tank 300 has opened the market in Russia, and the tank series has already gained a certain reputation in the Russian off-road field. What the Tank 400 currently lacks is recognition and trust. This requires the Tank brand to enhance the trust and recognition of Russian consumers through good product quality and after-sales service. Do you think Tank 400 can be successful in Russia?
