The extended-range version of the Avita is about to be launched: Can it reverse the declining sales trend?
Recently, the chairman of Changan Automobile announced that the extended-range version of Avita 11 and Avita 12 will be officially launched in September. In addition,
the extended-range version and pure electric version of Avita 07 will also be launched at the same time. This series of new car launches is aimed at boosting brand sales,
especially when the current pure electric vehicles of Avita 11 and 12 are not performing well, and the extended-range power version is expected to be highly anticipated.
Avita 11 and 12: Highlights of the extended-range version

The starting price of Avita 11 is 295,800 yuan, and the current maximum price reduction is 5,000 yuan.
This model has won heated discussions among car owners for its spacious space and excellent performance. However, sales performance has been unsatisfactory.
The new extended-range model will be equipped with a 1.5T engine with a maximum power of 156 horsepower, and with a rear single motor,
the maximum power reaches 314 horsepower. This configuration is the same as the upcoming Avita 07, indicating that Avita's strategy in the power system is to pursue practicality and economy.
Changan self-developed motors and batteries
It is worth noting that the new extended-range model will use Changan's self-developed motor instead of the Huawei motor used previously.
The previous Huawei's first-generation motor had unsatisfactory power consumption performance, and even performed poorly in some media tests, second only to Luxgen Zeekr 001.
Changan realized this problem and decided to use self-developed motors to try to solve the power consumption problem.
The new extended-range model is equipped with a 39.05 kWh battery pack. The pure electric range of the Avita 11 is 180 kilometers, and the Avita 12 is 210 kilometers.
Under more relaxed test conditions, this range is expected to exceed 250 kilometers. The fuel consumption of the extended-range model is also quite good.
The fuel consumption of the Avita 11 under WLTC conditions is 6.2 liters per 100 kilometers, and the Avita 12 is 5.8 liters, which is quite good considering the size and weight of the two cars.
Market Expectations and Outlook
The launch of the extended-range version of the Avita demonstrates Changan's pragmatic attitude in its market strategy.
By lowering the price threshold and focusing on cost-effectiveness and practicality, Avita hopes to attract more consumers and increase overall sales.
Whether the launch of the extended-range version can effectively reverse the current sales decline of the Avita brand remains to be tested by the market.
In general, the application of Changan's self-developed motor and the launch of the extended-range version have undoubtedly injected new vitality into the Avita.
More detailed information is yet to be officially announced, but it is foreseeable that the Avita brand will surely become the focus of market attention in the future.
